Artist Bio

Rachel Hsu is a New York City-based dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist working across contemporary, martial arts, and improvisational forms. She is a company dancer and choreographer with Umami Playground Dance Company and Ah-Molla Dance Collective, and maintains an active freelance practice in performance, choreography, and dance film. She has been featured at the Rockefeller Center, New York Design Week, Peridance Presents, and on tour with Queensborough Dance Festival. Rachel regularly teaches and creates commissioned work internationally, with ongoing guest engagements in Taiwan and at Dartmouth College, where she was the sole dance recipient of the Hieman-Rosenthal Award upon graduating in 2023.
